Revenig pitches against Giants

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Brainerd native Todd Revenig pitched a fraction of an inning in relief Saturday as the Arizona Diamondbacks defeated the San Francisco Giants 15-4 in a Cactus League game.

Goochey, Majka most valuable alpine skiers

Juniors Kyle Goochey and Katie Majka have been named the Brainerd Warriors most valuable boy and girl alpine skiers of the season.

Goochey and Majka were selected captains for the 2000-01 season. There was a tie for most improved boy skier between freshman Mark Femling and senior Sebastian Wickenburg. Morgan Klang was voted the most improved girl skier.

Lynx clinic March 26 at Crosby

A Minnesota Lynx Basketball Clinic is scheduled Sunday, March 26, at the Hallett Community Center in Crosby.

A Lynx player and a member of the coaching staff will conduct the clinic from 11 a.m. to noon. The cost is $12. The cost includes the clinic, autographed poster, ticket to a Lynx game and swimming in the community center pool from noon to 4 p.m. Junior and senior high students may also use the fitness center.
