ONAMIA -- Lori Dee Nohner, 38, rural Onamia, died Friday, March 10, 2000, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth.
She was born Oct. 27, 1961, in Milaca to Roy and MichElaine (Ryan) Rippentrop. She grew up on a farm in rural Milaca and attended elementary and high school in Milaca. She married Steven J. Nohner on May 30, 1986, in Milaca. They lived near Wahkon. She worked as a cook for several years at Ozzie's Cafe in Isle. In 1989, she began working at Sandstone Federal Prison as a guard and later as a cook foreman until her death.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Bobbi Jo and Leslie Nohner, both at home; one son, Jacob Nohner, at home; her mother, MichElaine Rippentrop, Askov; his father, Roy Rippentrop, Onamia; three sisters, Terry Kloust, Onamia, Kim Bachman, Sturgeon Lake, and Roylene Rippentrop, Askov; and a grandmother, Mildred Plaisted, Bruno.
Her sister, Becky Jorgensen, who died Jan. 14, 1990; maternal grandfather, Michael J. Ryan; and paternal grandparents, Peter and Bertha Rippentrop, died earlier.
Services were set for 2 p.m. today at Bethany Lutheran Church in Onamia with Pastors Randy Wendt and Rich Fitzer officiating and burial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Onamia.
