Randy Phillips of People's Security was recently honored by the Brainerd Noon Sertoma Club as its Sertoman of the Year.
Phillips is past president and current board chair of this Sertoma Club.
Phillips' success saw 40 new members join and the club receive Distinguished Honor Club status. His other major achievement occurred when, with his leadership and the backing of many members including Jon Haapajoki, the Camp Confidence Sertoma Club chartered with a record 65 new members.
Phillips has been a member since 1989 and has personally brought 15 new members into the club. He is a charter member of the Little Moran Sertoma Club as well as Camp Confidence Sertoma. He is active in all local club activities as well as district, regional and international conventions. He received the coveted gold coat award as an outstanding president.
Sertoma honored its Rookie of the Year as well, naving Jim Potvin of Brainerd Medical Center with this award. He is currently serving as a sergeant at arms.
