It is hard to imagine that a young boy can remain on the waiting list for a Kinship Partner for more than a couple of years, but such is the case for 11-year-old Craig.
Although Craig is a fifth-grader at Pine River Elementary School, he is develomentally delayed and is functioning at an approximate third-grade level.

His mom finds it hard to understand why there isn't a mentor for her son. He possesses a fine sense of humor, has friends and even learned to swim last year. In school, Craig is in a regular classroom part of the day and receives special help with subjects such as reading and speech therapy. He has a love for anything dealing with electronics and computers and played youth football and enjoys shooting hoops.
Craig doesn't remember his dad. His mom thinks either an individual or couple wishing to be his partner would be ideal. If you are a special person wanting to make a difference in a special boy's life, call today to explore how you can "Be a mentor, be a friend."
