MOTLEY -- Wilhelm Junker, 91, Motley, died Monday, March 11, 2002, at Long Prairie Memorial Nursing Home.
He was born Dec. 3, 1910, in Chippewa County to Johann and Margaretha (Ewald) Junker. He married Gertrude Fleisher on May 8, 1935, in Staples. They farmed and lived in Becker and Byron townships until retiring in 1979. They moved to the Crow Wing River area.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Joyce Jorgensen, Anoka, Sharon Williams, Staples, and Judy Johnson, Motley; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Louise DeGeest, Motley, and Alma DeGeest, Motley.
An infant son, four sisters and six brothers died earlier.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Staples with the Rev. Robin Collins officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Brenny Funeral Home in Staples.
