Compared to late last week, slaughter steers sold mostly steady on a very limited market test. Slaughter heifers not well tested. Slaughter Holsteins sold steady. Slaughter cows and bulls sold mostly steady.

Steers: Select and Choice 2-3 1215-1475 lbs. 73.00-73.70. Select 1-2 1155-1300 lbs. 71.00-71.75.

Holsteins: Choice 2-3 1350-1487 lbs. 67.00-70.00, heavyweights 1590-1627 lbs. 62.00-65.00. Select and Choice 2-3 1288-1467 lbs. 65.25-66.60. Select 1-2 1150-1330 lbs. 61.50-63.00.

Heifers: Select and Choice 2-3 pkg 1135 lbs. 73.10.

Cows:

Premium White 70-80 percent lean 44.50-47.25, high dressing, 42.00-44.00; Breaking 70-80 percent lean 43.00-47.00, high dressing, 41.00-43.00; Boning 80-85 percent lean 42.00-45.00, high dressing, 38.00-39.00; Lean 85-90 percent lean 39.00-43.00, high dressing, 35.00-38.00.
