Crow Wing County's Human Rights Commission will sponsor an information session on human rights issues Thursday in Brainerd.
The session is titled Understanding and Countering Hate and Bias Crimes in Crow Wing County.
The session will include guest speakers, video presentation and panel discussion. Guest speakers will include Mort Ryweck, League of Minnesota Human Rights Commission.
The session will run 4 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Sedahl Center on the grounds of the Brainerd Regional Human Services Center.
The Crow Wing County Human Rights Commission is seeking representation from various community organizations to participate in its recently developed Hate and Bias Crimes Response and Prevention Plan, which is expected to help county residents deal with hate/bias crimes.
