Cold Spring Rocori basketball fans had to be asking themselves, "Who are these guys?" after one period of South Region 8AA High School Basketball Tournament play against Coach Mike Morgan's Brainerd Warriors at St. Cloud. After the first eight minutes of their semi-finals encounter, the score board read: Brainerd 22, Cold Spring 2. Final score Brainerd 50, Rocori 43.

30 years ago (1972)

Signs supporting the Brainerd Basketball team in the Region C Tournament game at Halenbeck Hall are apparent throughout Brainerd. Both theatre marquees contain short messages of encouragement.

40 years ago (1962)

A one-day membership campaign will be held here Wednesday by the Brainerd Chamber of Commerce in an effort to raise the chamber's operating budget from $11,500 to $18,000, John Chalberg, president, announced today.

60 years ago (1942)

Proposed rate on Minnesota iron ore shipment were rejected by the Railroad and Warehouse Commission. The proposal increase would have affected Cuyuna Range ores in particular.

80 years ago (1922)
