Snowmobile racing: Ebert, Thomsen win races

Dan Ebert of Lakeshore and Cody Thomsen of Nisswa won races in the ISOC National Snocross event at Hayward, Wis., last weekend.

Ebert won the Semi Pro Open and was 15th in the Semi Pro Super Stock final on an Arctic Cat.

Thomsen was first in the Super Stock No. 1 final on an Arctic Cat.

Levi LaVallee of Longville was 10th in Pro Open and 14th in Pro Super Stock on a Polaris.

In Pro Women's, April Moritz of Emily finished second on her Arctic Cat.

In Semi Pro action, Devin Bertoch of Baxter was third in the Semi Pro Open B Main and 13th in the Semi Pro Super Stock final on an Arctic Cat.

Ryan Huston of Hackensack was fifth in Super Stock No. 1 and 15th in Super Stock No. 2 on an Arctic Cat. Nathan Moritz of Emily finished fifth in Super Stock No. 1 and 11th in Super Stock No. 2 on an Arctic Cat. Ben Lindbom of Staples rode a Polaris to 14th place in Super Stock No. 2.

In Junior 14-15, Brandon Herheim of Hackensack was 11th on a Polaris.

The final national event of the season is March 20-22 at Lake Geneva, Wis.

Points leaders from the area include LaVallee, who is tied for first in the Pro Super Stock class and is second, 13 points out of first, in Pro Open.

Ebert is third in Semi Pro Open, 13 points out of first, and is third in Semi Pro Super Stock (31 points from first).

April Moritz is third in Pro Women's points.

Thomsen is No. 1 in Sport Super Stock with a 42-point lead and is third in Super Stock No. 2 (23 points out of first).

Lindbom is ninth in Super Stock and fifth in Super Stock No. 2.

Nathan Moritz is 10th in Super Stock points.
