Garnett C. Schwaller

Garnett Cleo Schwaller, 96, of Brainerd, died Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Bethany Good Samaritan Village. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials are preferred to Woodland Good Samaritan Village or Samaritan Hospice.

Garnett was born Nov. 15, 1912, in Nelsonville, Ohio, the daughter of Edgar and Bessie (McDowell) Dickerson. She was united in marriage to Omer Gregory Schwaller on Oct. 8, 1938. Garnett worked as a registered nurse for many years. She enjoyed knitting, reading, crochet and exercise. She also liked to play golf and bridge.

Garnett will be missed by her sons, Gregory (Laurie) Schwaller, of Three Rivers, Calif., and Anthony (Renee) Schwaller, of Nisswa, Minn.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and her sister, Esther McCue, of Salem, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2005 and her parents.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter, Minn.
