GILBERT - Clair Lee Bennett, age 82, of Gilbert, died on March 7, 2009, at St. Rapheal's Health and Rehabilitation Center in Eveleth.
He was born on Feb. 21, 1927, in Kimball, Minn., to Vernus and Golda (Pratt) Bennett. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Robert (Lora) Bennett, of Gilbert, and Ronald Bennett, of Montevideo; four brothers, Donald Bennett, of Lake Lillian, Robert Bennett, of Smith, Ala., Lewis Bennett, of Minneapolis, Fred Bennett, of Pillager; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Esther; son, Richard Bennett; one sister, Maxine; and one brother, Charles.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby with military honors given by the Myrin-James American Legion No. 443, Ironton. Friends may call one hour prior to the services on Saturday.
