WARM SPRINGS, Ga. -- Gary Fredrick Stiner, age 63, of Warm Springs, Ga., and Emily, died on Sunday, March 6, 2004, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, Ga. He was born on May 19, 1940, in Christian County, Ill., to Fredrick and Irma (Beck) Stiner.
He was a member of the Wesleyan Church, Emily. He was a parent at the Bar Rest Ranch in Warm Springs, Ga., and was a longtime foster parent in Crow Wing County. He is survived by wife, Judy; mother, Irma Stiner, Emily; four daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela Sanders of Stonington, Ill., Penny and Dave Hodges of Emily, Polly and Jim Foss of Emily, and Peggy and Sean O'Brian of Emily; two sisters, Patricia Watson of Merrifield, and Cheryl Chapman of Emily; seven grandsons; 12 granddaughters; and two great-granddaughters. He is preceded in death by his father, Fred, a brother, Roger Stiner, and two grandsons, James and Joseph Jacobson.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. on Friday at the Wesleyan Church in Emily with the Rev. James Slye officiating. Burial will be at the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Emily. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
