BREEZY POINT -- William James Quirk, 68, Breezy Point, died Friday, March 7, 2003, at his home in Breezy Point.
He was born Dec. 6, 1934, in Lawler, Iowa, to William and Marie (Canty) Quirk. He graduated from Lawler High School and went to Upper Iowa University where he majored in business. He married Ramona Pierce on May 9, 1964, in Minneapolis. He worked for Rothchild Financial in St. Paul for many years. He retired in 1988. Following retirement, they moved to Breezy Point.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Penni Schneewind, Prior Lake, and Cathy Quirk, Rosemount; four brothers, Lowell Quirk, Rochester, Tom Quirk, Fort Wayne, Ind., Bob Quirk, Breezy Point, and Frank Quirk, Burnsville; and two grandchildren.
His parents and an infant sister died earlier.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Alice Catholic Church in Pequot Lakes with the Rev. George Zeck officiating. Memorials are preferred to the William J. Quirk Memorial Fund.
