STAPLES -- Darrel W. Lambert, 74, Staples, died Wednesday, March 6, 2002, at the Greater Staples Hospital.
He was born Sept. 23, 1927, in Aldrich to John and Olga (Hill) Lambert. He graduated from Verndale High School and served in the Navy during World War II. He worked for many years in the dairy industry. He married Nyla Lucille Stafford on June 3, 1952, in Fosston.
Survivors include his wife, Staples; four sons, Donald Lambert, Staples, Darrel Lambert Jr., Montrose, David Lambert, New Prague, and Duane Lambert, Little Falls; three daughters, Diane Black, Norstrand, Debra Lyman, Faribault, and Denise Trettle, Staples; a brother, John Lambert, Minot, N.D.; three sisters, Audrey Jenson, Staples, Shirley Vazquez, Longmont, Colo., and Delores Horn, West Fargo, N.D.; 23 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Staples.
Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until services Monday at the church.
