The Sunrise Sertomans did it again. On Saturday, Feb. 23, a group of 23 Kinship kids were treated to an afternoon of bowling and pizza at Paul Bunyan Bowl. This yearly event has become a much anticipated activity for our youths. One attendee was a first-time bowler, so the day held great importance for her. Thank you, Sunrise Sertomans, for providing this activity and for your continuing support of Kinship Partners. A special thanks to Deb Eggen, Dale Schibonski, Pat and Alice Smith, Louise and Jim Hunt, Burt Knandel and Greg Olson who were on hand to "captain" the teams. The kids all had lots of fun, thanks to you.
I just wanted to publicly recognize Brainerd Medical Supply for reacting so quickly to an accident that happened Thursday near the stoplights on Washington Street by Video Update in Brainerd. I was a witness to the accident and was glad to see the people in the Brainerd Medical Supply vehicle respond the way they did. Thank you for lending a helping hand.
Youth Trax Olympics
Thanks to Lois Laurence, Ethelyn Schrom, Erna Mae Loveland, Carol Loseth, Max Dominguez, Amber Berg and Travis Carlson who volunteered at the Youth Trax Olympics on Feb. 19 at Mississippi Horizons. Your great attitude and willingness to help made the day memorable for many young students and reflects what great volunteers we have in our community. The day was a great success because of your dedication to make a difference in someone's life. Thank you again for all you do.
