Two trust funds, which will help defray future education expenses, were set up for Kyle and Brienna Wyatt.
They are the young children of Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Special Agent Thomas Wyatt, who died in a motor vehicle accident on March 3.
Wells Fargo Bank, Brainerd, is taking donations for the trust funds.
Man dies in head-on collision
AITKIN -- A 46-year old Palisade man died at the scene and his 15-year-old daughter was in serious condition following a head-on collision Saturday south of Aitkin.
The crash occurred about 6:07 a.m. on U.S. 169, about a half mile south of Aitkin County Road 10, the State Patrol reported. Road conditions were icy.
Kevin Kingsley was driving south in a Dodge Spirit with his daughter, Leah Kingsley, as a passenger. Their vehicle was struck head-on when a northbound vehicle lost control on the ice and crossed the center line. Leah Kingsley suffered broken bones. She has been released from the hospital.
The northbound vehicle, a Mitsubishi Montero, was driven by Keovongkham Thammavong, 39, Brooklyn Center. Thammavong suffered minor injuries. A passenger, Thongkhoune Phomphakdy, 51, Crystal, suffered a broken leg. All were treated at Riverwood HealthCare Center in Aitkin.
All were wearing seatbelts.
