MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Kevin Spiewak had two goals and Quinn Fylling added four assists as No. 11 North Dakota defeated Wisconsin 5-2 Friday night.
North Dakota snapped its longest winless streak in 28 years and clinched home ice for the league playoffs.
The Fighting Sioux (23-9-5, 13-9-5 WCHA) had gone 0-5-2 in their last seven games, losing each of the last four by a single goal.
But they improved to 2-5 all-time at the Kohl Center and moved into fourth place with only Saturday's series finale remaining in the regular season.
