Lakes Area Dance Club
The Lakes Area Dance Club will hold its monthly dance Friday at Central Lakes College, Room E101. The dance lesson will be the swing. Other dances will be reviewed. American Legion events
Corned beef and cabbage will be served by the Mulhollands beginning at 5:30 p.m. until gone March 12 at the Brainerd American Legion. Cost: $8.
Breast cancer survivor support group
The Breast Cancer Survivor Support Group will meet at 11:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Medical Center in the Joseph Room. Tami Lu Smith who instructs classes for Community Education in exercise will talk about her upcoming class called Laughter and Yoga. She will also talk about the benefits of exercise and about the other classes that are available. All breast cancer survivors are welcome in whatever stage of survival you are in. Lunch is available for purchase in the River Room and can be brought to the meeting room.

Bee-Nay-She Council Bird Club
The Bee-Nay-She Council Bird Club will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Northland Arboretum, 14250 Conservation Drive, Brainerd. Bird ID will be given by Warren Nelson. The program will be given by Carroll Henderson, supervisor of the DNR Nongame Wildlife Program, also known as the "Chickadee Checkoff." He will be presenting his latest book entitled "Birds in Flight: The Art and Science of How Birds Fly," featuring the story of how he became interested in the physics of bird flight and includes photographs of Minnesota birds as well as hummingbirds from Costa Rica, condors from Peru, albatrosses from New Zealand and raptors and storks from Africa.
