HILLMAN - Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hillman, will host a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
Easter baskets with a variety of items and prices also will be available.
Sunday's worship service is held at 9:30 a.m.
Immanuel is located at the junction of Highway 27 and County Road 47.
UCC adult forum slated Sunday
"Beyond biblical literalism" will be the topic for the Sunday adult forum at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 415 Juniper St., Brainerd, as part of the "Living the Questions" series.
The forum starts at 11 a.m. in the upper meeting room.
Group to meet Thursday at Grand View Lodge
NISSWA - The next meeting of the Brainerd Lakes Area Women's Connection is scheduled from 12:30-2 p.m. Thursday at Grand View Lodge in Nisswa.
Franklin Koop, "Time Ran Out," will share a dramatic story of his mother's death after she promised to do anything in order to recapture her rebellious son.
Cyndy Murdock from Heart and Sole Studio will be the special feature, and music will be provided by Derrick Hendricks.

St. Andrew's Church guild meeting set
St. Joseph's guild will meet at 2 p.m. Thursday at the home of Bonnie Staples.
Ministerial association to meet Thursday
The Brainerd Lakes Area Ministerial Association will meet at noon Thursday at the Sharing Bread Soup Kitchen (located at Temple Baptist Church on Oak Street).
Since March is Minnesota Food Share Month, the program will focus on emergency assistance and feature the Salvation Army and the Soup Kitchen.
A light lunch will be served. All area clergy are invited to attend.
Lenten services planned at Trinity Lutheran
Lenten services are scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brainerd. Intern Amanda Bachman will speak on the theme, "Sacrificial Love."
A soup supper will be served beginning at 5 p.m. in the fellowship hall.

Lenten choral cantata planned
First Lutheran Church in Brainerd's Senior Choir will lead Sunday's worship with their Lenten Choral Cantata, "The Weeping Tree," at the 8 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday worship services.
Pancake breakfast fundraiser planned
Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and Family of Christ Lutheran School will host a breakfast from 8-10 a.m. Saturday at Applebee's Bar and Grill.
Cost is $5 per person for pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, juice and coffee.
Matching funds are provided by Thrivent. Tickets are available at the door.
PowerPoint presentation planned
CROSSLAKE - Crosslake Presbyterian Church recently sent six volunteers to assist in Hurricane Katrina restoration projects in New Orleans.
Volunteers included Sharon and Jack Becker, the Rev. Roger Grussing, Dr. Larry Hopkins, Tom McCormack and Steve Roe.
The public will have the opportunity to see their PowerPoint presentation and hear their reflections about the experience in a two-part series from 9-9:45 a.m. Sunday and March 16 at Crosslake Presbyterian Church in Crosslake.
