Pauline Christenson

McGRATH -- Pauline Christenson, 94, McGrath, died Monday, March 5, 2001, at Aicota Health Care Center in Aitkin.

She was born June 6, 1906, in Kingsley, Kan., to Walter and Alpha Tallman. She graduated from high school and attended business college in Kansas. She married John Christenson in January 1937 in Aitkin. She worked as a stenographer both in Aitkin and Kanabec County courthouses. She was a member of the McGrath Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Westerlund, Aitkin, and Connie Scheeler, St. Paul; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Roy Tallman, San Antonio.

Her husband died earlier.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Malmo with the Rev. James Raisanen officiating. Burial will be in Pliny Cemetery in McGrath.

Friends may call an hour before services Thursday at the church.
