Brainerd Garden Club will meet 1 p.m. Friday at the Northland Arboretum. Jackie Burkey will present a program on house plants. Hostesses are Jackie Froemming and Margarita Price.

Relay for Life fundraiser

PILLAGER - The Relay for Life team is having a bingo fundraiser at 2 p.m. March 21 at the Pillager Community Center in Pillager. All proceeds are going to the American Cancer Society.

Brainerd Legion bologna feed

The Brainerd Legion all-you-can-eat bologna feed will be from 3-7 p.m. Thursday. Cost: $7.

Duplicate bridge scores

North-South: Lois Volkmuth and Phyllis DeRosier, 48; Mark Anderson and Don Rasmussen, 37. East-West: Jim Thompson and Tom McGrath, 41.5; and Patrick Spradlin and Bruce Eastman, 39.5.

Lakes Area Dance Club

The Lakes Area Dance Club will have its monthly dance March 12 at Central Lakes College (Room E101). This dance will be free.

The dance lesson will begin at 6:30 p.m. The lesson will be the swing with a review of other dances. Arrive at 6:15 p.m. so that registration will be completed by the 6:30 p.m. start time. General dancing will begin at 7:30- 9 p.m. Singles and couples are welcome; partners are not required. This is an opportunity to learn and practice various dance steps at no cost.

Kiwanis Club annual fish fry

LITTLE FALLS - The Kiwanis Club of Little Falls will host its annual fish fry from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Little Falls VFW. Cost is $8 for adults; children over 5 are $4.50 and children under 5 are free.

Alpha Chapter OES

Alpha Chapter OES will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Masonic Hall. Servers will be Glenn and Faye Brown.

Brainerd Lakes Prostate Cancer support group

The Brainerd Lakes Prostate Cancer Support Group will meet 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Kerst meeting room at St. Joseph's Medical Center. Bradley Qualey, M.D., from Lakes Area Urology will discuss cancer recurrence. Refreshments will be served. For more information call Jessica Brandl at 828-1418.

Upcoming VFW events

The Brainerd VFW Post and Auxiliary meetings will be 7 p.m. Tuesday. The Post will be nominating officers for the coming year with an election at the April meeting. The Auxiliary will hold nomination and election of officers at the April meeting. Plan to come and take part in the coming events of both the Post and Auxiliary.

VFW Men's Auxiliary will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Post home.

The VFW Auxiliary fish fry will be 5:30 p.m. until gone Friday at the VFW Home Post, 309 S. Sixth St., Brainerd. Cost is $8.

Retired Fire People

Retired Fire People will meet for breakfast at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Wings, the airport restaurant. All retired fire people are welcome.

BAXTER - The class of 1952 will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bonanza.

The Washington High School class of 1937 will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Northwind Grille.

Senior dances planned

Senior dances will be from 1-4 p.m. Tuesday at Motley with music by Country Pride; and from 1-4 p.m. Wednesday at Waukenabo with music by Jerry B.

NARVRE notice change

Members note the NARVRE meeting usually held on Tuesday has been changed to March 16.

Bee-Nay-She Council Bird Club

The Bee-Nay-She Council bird club will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Northland Arboretum, 14250 Conservation Drive, Brainerd.

Bird identification will be given by Warren Nelson.

Carroll Henderson, DNR Nongame Wildlife program supervisor who has developed a statewide program for the conservation of nongame wildlife that has received both national and international recognition, will present the program featuring his new revision of the DNR's best-selling book, "Woodworking for Wildlife," which contains natural history information, photos and other valuable information on how to attract wood ducks, bluebirds and other species.
