ALPINE SKIING

The Ski Gull Alpine Team finished second in the Northland Junior Race Series Championship Race on Sunday.

Duluth finished first, Ski Gull finished one point behind Duluth, Arrowhead and Lutsen tied for third, Giants Ridge was fourth and Mount Ashwabay fifth. Nearly 130 racers competed.

Rian Hutchison of Ski Gull was first in the boys' 14-15 division and had the fastest combined time of the day (1:09:20).

Ski Gull's Andrea Cibuzar was first in the girls' 16-up division and had the fastest girls' combined time of the day (1:13:87).

Girls 8-9: Alex Stone 1st
