Three area wrestlers won matches in the opening round of the Class 2A state tournament Wednesday night at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
Nic Harrison of Pequot Lakes/Pine River-Backus, ranked third at 135 pounds, pinned Ruben Hidalgo of St. Thomas Academy.
Top-ranked Cody Bue of Little Falls, at 160, opened with a pin against Adam Swenson of Princeton.

Frank Wilczek of Little Falls, ranked sixth at 103, was pinned by second-ranked Nick Clobes of Hutchinson.
