Harrison, 2 Flyers win

Three area wrestlers won matches in the opening round of the Class 2A state tournament Wednesday night at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

Nic Harrison of Pequot Lakes/Pine River-Backus, ranked third at 135 pounds, pinned Ruben Hidalgo of St. Thomas Academy.

Top-ranked Cody Bue of Little Falls, at 160, opened with a pin against Adam Swenson of Princeton.

Charlie Wilczek of Little Falls pinned Jake Kostik of North Branch at 2:59 to advance at 112 pounds.

Frank Wilczek of Little Falls, ranked sixth at 103, was pinned by second-ranked Nick Clobes of Hutchinson.
