PEQUOT LAKES -- Chris Clasen scored 22 points and teammate James Baumann added 21 as the Pequot Lakes Patriots boys' basketball team defeated the Staples-Moltey Cardinals 62-56 in Mid-State Conference action Thursday.

Chad Brever scored 19 points for the Cardinals and Zach Martin had 10.

DETROIT LAKES -- Tony Zontelli scored 14 points and Tyler Scull added 12 as the Crosby-Ironton Rangers fell 60-45 to the Detroit Lakes Lakers Thursday in Mid-State Conference boys' basketball.

Parker Robinson tossed in 10 points for the Rangers.
