Lorraine E. Ahles

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, March 8 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral in St. Cloud for Lorraine E. Ahles, age 89, of St. Cloud, who died on Wednesday, March 3, 2004, at her home. The Rev. Steve Binsfeld will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday between 3-8 p.m. and on Monday after 8:30 a.m. at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. St. Anne's Christian Women and Parish Prayers will be at 4 p.m.

Lorraine was born March 13, 1914, in St. Nicholas to Frank and Margaret (Johannes) Enderle. After moving to St. Cloud, she was employed at the Breen Hotel, and later J.C. Penney Co. Inc. She married Ted Ahles on August 6, 1942, in Camp Grant, Ill. They lived in Rockville from 1946-1964. They then moved to St. Cloud where she worked for Fandel's Department Store in housewares.

Lorraine was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral Parish, St. Stephen's Mission Group, and acted as an honorary pallbearer on many occasions. She was a member of Christian Mothers for 50 years.

Survivors: children, Robert Ahles (Marty), St. Cloud, Gary Ahles (Kari), St. Cloud, Pat DeWenter (Bob), Bemidji, Linda Pennaz (Terry), Shoreview, Sandy Justin (Mick), Nisswa; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Mildred Shogren, St. Paul, and Mary Adams, Weslaco, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ted, Dec. 20, 1996; sisters, Betty Whiteis, and Elinor Koppel; brothers, Al, Art, Eddie, Vernon, and Elmer Enderle.

Memorials are preferred to St. Mary's Cathedral Vision 2000 Program.

Funeral arrangements are being made with the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.
