LITTLE FALLS -- Seraphine Wiherski, 82, Little Falls, died Saturday, March 2, 2002, at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls.
She was born March 23, 1919, in Pike Creek Township to Frank and Mary Deering. She attended school in Morrison County. She married Julius Wiherski on June 10, 1944, at Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls. They lived in Little Falls where she worked at Lik-NU cleaners in Little Falls as a seamstress for thirty years. Her husband died in 1993. She was active in Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church helping with the church bazaar and the quilting club and singing in the choir for many years. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and Christian Mothers.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Lou Wiherski, Minneapolis; a son, Donald Wiherski, Little Falls; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four brothers, Clem Deering, Alex Deering, both of Little Falls, Stanley Deering, Villard, and Edward Deering, Illinois; and a sister, Eleanore Frye, Randall.
Her husband, a sister, Helen Deering, and a brother, Sylvester Deering, died earlier.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls with the Rev. Mark Innocenti officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday with rosary said at 5 p.m. and parish prayers at 5:30 p.m. and from 8-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls.
