WALKER -- The following recently appeared in Cass County District Court:
Jeffrey Michael Smith, 22, Walker, pleaded guilty to a lesser included gross misdemeanor violation of an order for protection. The judge stayed a $3,000 fine and all but time served of a one-year jail sentence until he enters treatment. He will be on probation two years.
Steven Leonard Berglund, 24, Walker, was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and to serve 30 days on the work release program for gross misdemeanor DUI. He will be on probation two years.
Jeffrey Moses Jackson, 23; Nathan Daniel Jackson, 22; and Timothy Gary Jackson, 25, all of Walker, received a ruling they will not have to pay $910 restitution the victim requested, because they are not criminally liable for assault.
Roy James Gamble, 34, was ordered to serve 48 months prison for second-degree assault. He must complete a treatment program, submit a DNA sample and register with the state as a sex offender. He will be on probation 25 years.
Philip Edward Strom, 46, St. Paul, was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and to serve 100 days on the work release program. He must pay $2,970.75 restitution. Strom will be on probation two years.
Jeffrey Dean Speed, 42, Pillager, pleaded guilty to driving after cancellation. The judge ordered Speed to pay an $800 fine and to serve 25 days jail.
Anthony Richard Smith, 39, Pine River, was ordered to pay $645.28 restitution. He was sentenced earlier for a lesser included misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Frederick Clarence Lewis, 34, Longville, was sentenced for DUI to pay a $500 fine and to serve 15 days jail. He will be on probation two years.
Betty Ann Engen, 44, Walker, pleaded guilty to DUI. She was ordered to pay a $500 fine and to serve five days jail. Engen will be on probation two years.
Russell Siebert Jr., 27, Squaw Lake, was ordered to serve a year and a day for an amended attempted theft charge. He must pay $500 restitution.
John Michael Week, 21, Remer, was ordered to pay $500 restitution. He was sentenced earlier for attempted second-degree burglary.
James Lee Frazer, 33, Emily, was ordered to serve one year in Cass County Jail for a lesser included gross misdemeanor criminal vehicular operation resulting in bodily harm. He must pay $80 restitution.
Steven Alan Willis, 20, Brainerd, was ordered to serve four weekends in addition to time served after admitting violation of probation he is serving for a lesser included felony theft.
Robert Marion Siltman, 20, was ordered to serve 30 days jail for a lesser included misdemeanor fifth-degree assault. He must pay a $210 fine and will be on probation one year.
Kevin Frederick Strong, 41, Red Lake, admitted violating probation he is serving for a 1997 theft and had the outstanding 19-month sentence executed at his request.
Edward Richard Vanbeek, 52, Pine River, pleaded guilty to aggravated DUI. The judge ordered Vanbeek to serve 60 days jail and 60 days electronic monitoring. Vanbeek must pay a $1,000 fine and $360 probation fee. He will be on probation three years.
Edwina Georgianna Golden, 27, Pine River, was ordered to serve 22 days in jail for gross misdemeanor fifth-degree domestic assault, consecutive to a misdemeanor sentence. She will be on probation two years.
