Beth Anderson, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Arden Anderson of Brainerd, recently performed with the Minnesota Music Educator's Association All-State Choir. Miss Anderson is a student at Brainerd Senior High School.

A War Bond objective that would make it possible for Brainerd to purchase one landing barge for American fighting forces, the barge to be named "The City of Brainerd," was launched last night at a dinner.

A.R. Cass came to Brainerd from Baxter yesterday and said the road was open but very rough. He rode the top of a cordwood sleigh which toppled over near Brainerd and Mr. Cass had to make a flying leap to avoid wood and sleigh.
