FOLEY --The Pierz Pioneers improved to 21-3 overall and advance to the Subsection 6AA finals against Mora with a 56-43 victory over the Braham Bombers in semifinals girls' basketball Thursday night.
Beth Stegora led the Pioneers with 18 points, Cyndi Kimman added 14 points and seven rebounds and Shiela Stegora was also in double figures with 12.
"We had spurts in the second and third quarters that turned the game comfortably in our favor," said Pioneer head coach Rick Sczublewski. "Cyndi and Beth both had super games for us tonight. Cyndi scored 12 of her 14 points in the second and third quarters and Beth had 11 of her 18 points in that time span as well."
