WONDER LAKE, Ill. -- John Nutter, 64, Wonder Lake, Ill., died Wednesday, March 1, 2000, at his home.
He was born March 18, 1935, in Little Falls to William and Ella (Hogland) Nutter. He moved to the Lake Geneva area in 1955. In 1970, he moved to Wonder Lake. He married Lorna Fontaine on June 28, 1988, in Las Vegas, Nev. He was employed by Tonyan Construction for more than 20 years as a concrete finisher. He was a member of Fox Valley & Vicinity Construction Workers Union. He was employed by Scott Forge for more than 20 years, working in maintenance until he retired in 1999. He was a member of Wisconsin National Guard.
Survivors include his wife; five sons, Keith Kelley, Moose Lake, Stephen Chandler, Edinboro, Pa., Brian Chandler, Wonder Lake, Robert Nutter, Wonder Lake, and Brian Nutter, Island Lake; 12 grandchildren; one brother, Douglas Nutter, Mesa, Colo.; and two sisters, Jacquelyn Conroy, Brainerd, and Joan Axel, Bella Vista, Ark.
His parents and a son, Kevin Kelley, died earlier.
Private family services will be Monday. Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Justen's Wonder Lake Funeral Home, Wonder Lake.
Memorials are preferred to Rush Hospice, Oak Park, Ill.
