Morrison County Republicans conduct their annual convention

LITTLE FALLS - Morrison County Republicans conducted their annual convention Saturday at the Little Falls VFW Hall. More than 90 delegates selected at the Feb. 2 precinct caucuses gathered to elect 15 delegates and 30 alternates to represent Morrison County at the 8th Congressional District and State Republican Conventions later this year.

Delegates elected include: Perry Nouis, Greg Blaine, Becky Olson, Joyce Heffron and Mandy Heffron of Little Falls; Daniel Baert, Todd MacDonell and Brittany Wurzer of Pierz; Jim Chandler, Ken Toenies, and Ruby Toenies of Randall; Brenda and Todd Strohschein of Motley; Joe McCoy of Bowlus, and Aleta Edin of Burtrum.

Convention speakers included former Minnesota Sen. Rod Grams; state Sen. Paul Koering, R-Fort Ripley; former state Rep. Sondra Erickson, House District 12B state representative candidate Mike LeMieur, Senate District 12 candidate and former state Rep. Paul Gazelka; and all announced Republican candidates for the 8th District Congressional seat: Chip Cravaack, Darrel Trulson, Justin Eichhorn and Rob Farnsworth.
