Central Lakes College men finish third at state, advance to regional

MINNEAPOLIS - Bam Glover scored 18 points and collected 15 rebounds to power the Central Lakes College Raiders past Vermilion 90-68 Sunday to capture third place in the MCAC state tournament Sunday.

The Raiders set the tone early with their defense holding the high-scoring Ironmen to 32 points in the first half and 37 percent shooting from the field for the game.

CLC's C.J. Peeters scored 17 points, Quentin Wilford added 13 points and seven assists and Dustin Monson and Ryan Peeters dropped 14 and 11 points apiece.

The win qualifies the Raiders for the NJCAA Region 13 tournament, where Central Lakes will look to advance to their second consecutive national tournament.

On Saturday the Raiders lost in the semifinals to Rochester 89-85 in a physical contest that set up Sunday's matchup.
