Veteran donor

Rick Janssen donated blood Tuesday at the Brainerd National Guard Armory. Janssen has been donating blood since 1973. The pint he donated Tuesday brings his total donation up to nine gallons or 72 pints in his life. The American Red Cross is hosting the blood drive 1-7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday. Brainerd Dispatch/Nels Norquist
