Much obliged

'Taste of the World'

Posted: Saturday, March 02, 2002

On Thursday, Feb. 21, Kinship Partners was treated to a "Taste of the World," thanks to Jeana Wetzel and a great group of foreign exchange students who are attending Brainerd High School. Jeana enlisted Mikko from Finland, Steph from France, Monica from Poland and Karin, Sonja, Nadine and Teresa from Germany to present our partners with a "visit" to their homelands. They did a tremendous job of fielding our questions and teaching us to count in their languages. And later, as we enjoyed culinary delights from around the world, they shared even more stories of their lives and countries. Thank you, students, and best wishes for your future.

Kinship Partners

Lakewood facility

I would like to thank Lakewood Evangelical Free Church for letting us use their great facility and to thank the community volunteers who helped me with the 2-5 Grade District Spelling Bees: Louise Nysather, Jean Dressell, Terry Tomlinson, Carol Humrickhouse, Jordon Miller, Pat Koehler, Jackie Mehr, Bonnie Franzen and Florence Keller. Without all your help and support the spelling bees would not be as successful as they are. What a great team!
