Emily woman injured

Icy road conditions likely led to a two-vehicle accident that left an Emily woman critically injured Thursday.

According to the State Patrol, Patricia E. Schlough-Peterson, 47, Emily, was westbound on County Road 12 (the Deerwood Shortcut) and her vehicle slid through the stop sign and was broadsided on Highway 210 by Steven C. Stahl, 58, Brainerd.

Stahl wasn't reported injured. Schlough-Peterson suffered a head injury and was listed Friday in critical condition at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.

The accident was reported at 5:41 p.m. Thursday.
