Pedestrian dies in accident

CASS LAKE -- A 37-year-old Cass Lake man died Saturday after he was hit by a vehicle while walking on Highway 2 in Cass Lake.
The accident happened about 9:15 p.m., the State Patrol reported.
Earl Eugene Ogema Jr. was walking along the westbound lane of Highway 2 when he stepped into the traffic lane and was struck by a vehicle driven by Ronald Michlitsch, 55, Brooklyn Park.
Michlitsch suffered minor lacerations but wasn't hospitalized. A passenger in his vehicle, Brett Michlitsch, 27, Minneapolis, wasn't injured.
