Conference honors Flyers' Miller

Nate Miller of Little Falls has been honored as the Central Lakes Conference boys' basketball performer of the week ending Feb. 24.

The Flyers' senior guard scored 59 points in two games last week and averaged 6.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 4.0 steals.

Brainerd sophomores lose to Tech

The Brainerd Warriors sophomore boys' basketball team lost to the St. Cloud Tech Tigers 62-52 Tuesday.

Derek Levno led the Warriors with 17 points. Paul Tuchscherer finished with 13 points. Big man Bryce Cloutier battled inside to score 6 points. Jake Phillips and Tim Severson also scored 6 each. Brainerd's record is now 14-9.

BAH to host PeeWee Tournament

PeeWee hockey teams from Brainerd, Thief River Falls, Cloquet, Hibbing, Grand Rapids, Duluth East, Moorhead and Roseau will play in a weekend tournament at the Brainerd Area Civic Center with top teams advancing to the State Tournament. The first game will begin Friday at 10 a.m. and the final face off will be at 6 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free to all Brainerd residents.
