Earl V. Kyar, 94, Brainerd, died Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000, at Bethany Good Samaritan Village of Brainerd.
He was born Dec. 13, 1905, in Exira, Iowa, to John and Ellen (Mason) Kyar. He married Helen Aykens on Feb. 28, 1931, in Brainerd. He worked as a carpenter for many years before going to work for the railroad. He was a member of First Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Lois Finch and Virginia Fletcher, both of Brainerd; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Alyce Kuelbs, Wadena, and Irene Kuelbs, Sleepy Eye.
An infant daughter, three sisters, and five brothers, died earlier.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at First Lutheran Church of Brainerd with Pastor Dan Clites officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call at the church an hour before services Thursday.
