Crosslake set to advertise for new council member

Posted: Wednesday, February 28, 2007

Crosslake will advertise for a replacement for former council member Terry Curtis, who announced his resignation Feb. 16.

At a special meeting Tuesday, the Crosslake City Council accepted Curtis' resignation and referred finding his replacement to the Crosslake Personnel Committee.

In a letter to Mayor Jay Andolshek, Curtis said he was resigning effective immediately because increased demands for his professional time were prohibiting him from properly performing his duties as a council member.

Curtis was not present at Tuesday's meeting.

Andolshek said there is no timeline to find Curtis' replacement. He said the Personnel Committee would probably meet early next week to discuss advertising for a replacement. The committee's recommendation would be considered by the city council.
