TOKYO (AP) -- Gin Kanie, who with her twin sister became the most famous centenarians in the graying nation of Japan, died Wednesday. She was 108.
Gin and older sister Kin, who died early last year, often appeared on television talk shows seated side by side in kimonos.
When the twins made their first trip abroad in 1995, visiting Taiwan, the event was covered intensively by the media.
