Polar Plunge set for March 6 at Breezy Point to help Special Olympics

BREEZY POINT - The fifth annual Polar Bear Plunge for Special Olympics will begin at 1 p.m. on March 6 at Breezy Point Resort at the Marina.

The purpose of the Polar Plunge is to support Special Olympics and the hope is that after the 13 plunges scheduled this year, the event will have raised $ million.

Registration will be from 10 a.m. to noon. The costume contest will be at noon. There will be prizes for best team, male and female costumes and youngest and oldest plungers.

Plunge information or pledge forms are available at all area police departments, area chambers of commerce, Brainerd Fire Department or register online at www.specialolympicsminnesota.org.
