The Pequot Lakes U-10 girls' hockey team won an eight-team tournament Feb. 23-24 in Brainerd.
Pequot Lakes defeated Fergus Falls 12-1 and North Metro 10-0 and Cloquet 9-3 for the championship.
Madison Galligan, Stephanie DeGrote, Hannah Zimmerman, Josie Florell and Katie Schrock were singled out for their defensive play, along with the play of goaltender Britta Bittner.

Pequot led Cloquet 3-2 after two periods in the title game before outscoring Cloquet 6-1 in the third.
The Prowlers (30-3) will play in a 12-team tournament next weekend at Detroit Lakes, facing A and B teams in the season's final tournament.
