Gibbons' condition upgraded to good

The condition of the 7-year-old Brainerd girl who suffered a severe head injury in a crash Monday in Baxter has been upgraded from fair to good, a spokesman at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale said Wednesday.

Madelynn Gibbons was injured as a passenger in a car driven by Carol Schwarzkopf, 64, Baxter.

Gibbons was reported in critical condition following the crash and airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center. Schwarzkopf was treated at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd for cuts to her face and three students on the bus were treated by paramedics at the scene.
