RANDALL - The victims of Sunday's two-vehicle fatal collision on Highway 10 in Randall have been identified by the State Patrol as Bernard C. Dombovy, 62, and Katrina M. Mitchell, 23, both of Royalton.
Dombovy was driving westbound on Morrison County Road 14 when his van collided with a southbound pickup on Highway 10 driven by Kevin Stock, 52, Avon. The State Patrol reported dense fog and very low visibility at the time of the collision.
Dombovy and Mitchell, who was his passenger, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Kevin Stock and two passengers, Teresa Stock, 48, and Nicolas Stock, 17, suffered minor injuries and were treated at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls.
Bertha man crushed to death by cow
BERTHA - A 37-year-old man was crushed to death by a cow Thursday at his father's farm on Wadena County Road 23 near Bertha, the Wadena County Sheriff's Department reported.
The victim, Kirk Patrick Harms, was helping his father, Art Harms, deliver a calf when the cow rolled onto him. Kirk Harms was transported to Tri-County Hospital in Wadena, where he was pronounced dead.
Sheriff Peter Mikkelson said it wasn't clear what led to the cow rolling over and crushing Patrick Harms.
The Bertha Rescue squad assisted at the scene.
