PINE RIVER -- Hazel Holley, 98, Pine River, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2002, at Whispering Pines Good Samaritan Center in Pine River.
She was born Feb. 21, 1904, in Wall Lake, Iowa, to Louis and Mathilda Wollesen. She attended school in Dalton, S.D. She married Merlin Holley on Sept. 23, 1926, in Marshall. They moved to Lake Ada north of Pine River in 1965. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Pine River and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include six nieces, including LaVonne Tweed, Sandra Simonson, and Sally Peterson, all of Pequot Lakes; and two nephews, including Corky Holley, Nisswa.
Her husband; two sisters, Lucille and Velma; and one brother, Leonard, died earlier.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Whispering Pines Good Samaritan Center in Pine River with Pastor John Twiton officiating. Burial will be in the Pequot Lakes Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Whispering Pines Good Samaritan Center in Pine River.
Friends may call one hour before services at Whispering Pines Good Samaritan Center in Pine River.
