McGRATH -- Bertha M. Ziesmer, 70, of McGrath, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2001, at the Kanabec Hospital in Mora.
Born Dec. 19, 1930, in Crosby, she was the daughter of Frank and Eva (Barker) Line. She graduated from Edison High School in Minneapolis in 1950. She married Roy E. Ziesmer on Sept. 9, 1950, in the Presbyterian Church in Wahkon. The couple had lived and farmed near McGrath since 1962. Mrs. Ziesmer sold Avon products. She was a member of the Isle Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Roy; two daughters, Susan Schoenborn of Minneapolis and Carol Madsen of Royalton; four grandchildren; three great-grandsons; three brothers, George Barker of Onamia, Jim Barker of Sauk Rapids and Pete Barker of Aitkin; and two sisters, Laura Halonen of Brainerd and Marilyn Winn of Deerwood.
A brother, William Barker, died earlier.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Isle Baptist Church with Pastor Monte Zilmer officiating. Burial will be in the Foster Cemetery in Cove.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Onamia and from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of the service at the church.
