Lakes Area Women's Expo organizers released more details regarding the event set 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 16.
The expo is an organization of area professional women in the Brainerd lakes area who are dedicated to providing information on companies and services that benefit women in the area. The expo will raise funds for area women's non-profit charities.
Information on business opportunities, finance, investments, education, health care issues, fitness, fashion tips, home decorating ideas and other interests are expected.
The expo will feature 12 breakout sessions on the top of every hour on topics informative to women. Girl Scouts will sell refreshments and there will be an on-site food court from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Transportation workshop set Thursday
Intelligent transportation systems, of computers, communications and sensor technology, are part of a transportation workshop Thursday at Cragun's Conference Center.
The conference is set from 9 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Lunch is included. Cost is $30. Conference hosts are the city of Brainerd, Minnesota Department of Transportation District Office, Minnesota State Patrol with assistance by the Brainerd Lakes Area Chambers of Commerce.
The workshop is expected to include better management and operations of existing highway, public transportation and railroad infrastructure to ease congestion and respond to crisis, safer travel, dollars for the area and more efficient and secure freight movements.
