The Shrine Circus is bringing its show to the Brainerd National Guard Armory on April 19 and 20 with a total of four performances slated during its two-day stop here.

C. Elmer Anderson, of Brainerd, former governor of Minnesota, announced at the annual meeting of the Crow Wing County Historical Society that he plans to present his collection of photographs, papers and documents to the museum here. The memorabilia will represent many years of public service.
40 years ago (1962)
Members of the Fifty Twosomes are planning to attend an "Irish Ball" at Club LaGuyal at 9 p.m. March 2. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Turcotte, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Anderson, and Mr. and Mrs. Max Halvorsen are members of the committee planning the event.
60 years ago (1942)
Brainerd store keepers who sell 12-gauge shotguns may find soon that sale of such guns to hunters is barred by the government. The government has called a halt to the sale of such guns to make the weapons available for war plant protection and guard duty.
80 years ago (1922)
Every road in the county is blocked with snow unloaded during the big blizzard. A. Marrpel of Gull Lake telephoned that farmers in that community united and with six teams, six drivers and four extra men broke a road from the lake to the mail boxes.
100 years ago (1902)
