Nagel, Martinson all-Northern Division

Central Lakes College Raiders women's basketball players Sarah Nagel and Amy Martinson were named to the all-Northern Division team.

Nagel averages 17 points a game and was player of the week twice this season, while Martinson averages 11 points and pulls down a team-high 9.3 rebounds.

Sarah Morrison, a 5-foot-8 guard who leads the division in three-point percentage, received honorable mention.

Flyers' Nate Miller honored

Little Falls Flyers guard Nate Miller has been named Central Lakes Conference performer of the week in boys' basketball.

Miller, a junior, had 30 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in a 58-52 win over Brainerd.

Aune on academic team

Brainerd's Hope Aune, a senior women's hockey player at Concordia College in Moorhead, is one of 20 Cobbers named to winter academic All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference teams.

Student-athletes must be in at their least second year at Concordia and have at least a 3.35 cumulative grade-point average. Aune is majoring in international business.

Spring basketball registration under way

Registrations are being accepted for Spring Spirit and Summer Select individual basketball registrations, as well as tournaments.
