Northern Lakes Lightning 12-U B team wins in girls' hockey

The Northern Lakes Lightning (Pequot Lakes/Crosby-Ironton/Aitkin) 12-U girls' hockey B team won Cloquet's Heartbreak Classic Feb. 12-14.

On the way to the final, Northern Lakes defeated Edina White 4-2, Duluth Ice Breakers 5-0 and Eden Prairie Black 6-5. The Lightning shut out Cloquet Purple 5-0 for the championship.

The Northern Lakes Lightning 12-U girls' hockey B team includes: Isabella Abear, Britta Bittner, Alexis Danielson, Stephanie DeGrote, Hannah Erickson, Mikaela Florey, Carly Fyle, Madison Galligan, Brittney Knox, Allie Olson, Mariah Reed, Katie Schrock, Megan Snyder, Hannah Zimmerman. Coaches are Scott Snyder, Jamie Reed and Kip Abear. Team manager is Sue Galligan.

Northern Lakes remained undefeated with a 28-0-0 record and three tournament championships to date.
